History of Le Valley Automotive
In 1973, Richard “Dick” LeValley purchased the Oldsmobile-Cadillac-Fiat Dealership in Benton Harbor, and moved his family from Grand Rapids, where he was the general manager of Orson Coe Pontiac- GMC, to Benton Harbor, MI. In 1978, Dick Purchased the AMC Dealership to one location and sold the AMC franchise in 1982. In 1985 Dick Purchased the GMC franchise from Zerbel family, expanding the available products to include the full line-up of pickups, vans, and SUV’s.
Fredrick “Dudley” LeValley purchased the dealership from his father in August 2000, having worked for and with his father since high school. In the spring of 2001, Dudley purchased the Buick and Pontiac franchises from the Schroder Family and sold the Oldsmobile franchise back to General Motors.
In July 2009 Dudley sold his property in down town Benton Harbor to the Whirlpool corporation. At the same time Dudley purchased Frank Pastrick Chevrolet, Becoming LeValley Chevrolet- Buick-GMC, to better serve the surrounding area.
